Ontario Player Funds, Withdrawals & Account Disputes

What a regulated-market player should document when a deposit, withdrawal, payout or account-balance issue occurs.

Quick answer

Ontario’s regulated framework provides an escalation path for disputes, but players should first use the operator’s formal process and preserve evidence. Regulation does not mean iGaming Ontario directly pays disputed balances or decides every transaction.

Before a problem

Use a payment method in your own name, complete required verification promptly and retain copies of material terms.

If a withdrawal is delayed

Check whether identity, payment-routing, bonus or account-review requirements are outstanding before assuming the issue is a refusal to pay.

Document the transaction

Save deposit/withdrawal IDs, timestamps, account statements, terms, support transcripts and screenshots.

Formal complaint

Escalate through the operator’s formal complaint process and obtain a complaint number.

iGO review

iGaming Ontario can review eligible unresolved disputes after the operator process, but it explicitly states that it cannot directly settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation.
