Gambling Session Cost Calculator

Estimate total wagering action and long-run expected loss from stake size, number of bets and house edge.

Quick answer

Enter an average stake, number of betting decisions and house edge. The calculator estimates action and mathematical expected loss; it does not predict your actual result.

Calculate session action

Enter values and calculate.

How the calculation works

Total action = average wager × number of bets. Theoretical expected loss = total action × house edge.

Example

If you average $5 per decision for 200 decisions, action is $1,000. At a 2% house edge, theoretical expected loss is $20.

Important limitation

Variance can overwhelm expectation in a short session. You can win or lose far more than the theoretical amount.

Responsible gambling: Gambling involves financial risk. Never chase losses or gamble with money needed for essentials. Eligibility and legal age vary by jurisdiction.
